Go up. Parasailing takes you above the water, harnessed to a parachute and towed by a speedboat along the Zanzibar coastline. You lift off from the boat, rise to around 50 to 80 meters, and float above the ocean with a wide view of the beach, the reef, and the shoreline below. Most sessions run out of Kiwengwa and other east coast beaches.
You don't need any skill or experience. The crew handles the launch, the flight, and the landing — you just sit in the harness and enjoy the view. You can go solo or tandem with a partner. It's calm up there, quieter than you'd expect, and over faster than you'd like.
