Tour Itinerary

Your driver picks you up at Zanzibar Airport and takes you to Nungwi on the north coast. The drive is about
an hour. Once you arrive at your beachside hotel, the rest of the day is yours. No plans, no tours. Overnight
at your beach hotel.

Early morning, you drive south to Kizimkazi village for a dolphin tour. A boat takes you into open water
where bottlenose and humpback dolphins are regularly spotted. If sea conditions allow, you can swim or
snorkel alongside them. Your guide and captain follow local guidelines to keep the experience respectful.

After the tour, you head back to Nungwi for a free afternoon at the beach. Overnight at your beach hotel.

After breakfast, you check out and drive to Stone Town. Once you've dropped your bags, your guide takes
you on a Stone Town tour on foot. You walk through narrow streets, stopping at the former Slave Market
and Anglican Cathedral, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, and Darajani Market. Your guide explains how
the slave trade, the sultanate, and Arab, Indian, and African influences shaped this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Evening is free.

After breakfast, you drive to a spice farm outside Stone Town. Your guide walks you through the plantation, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, vanilla, and you taste fresh spices and tropical fruits
straight from the source. You learn how the spice trade shaped Zanzibar's economy and why it's still called
the Spice Island.

In the afternoon, a boat takes you to Prison Island. Once a colonial prison and quarantine station, the island
is now home to giant Aldabra tortoises. You spend time with the tortoises, walk the grounds, and relax by
the shore before returning to Stone Town.

After breakfast, you travel to Jozani Forest, Zanzibar's only national park. The guided walk takes you
through shaded forest trails where you see the red colobus monkey, found nowhere else in the world. You
continue along the mangrove boardwalk and stop at the conservation area.

Afterward, you visit a nearby village to see everyday life and how local communities operate. You return to
Stay in Stone Town for the night, with the rest of the afternoon free.

After breakfast, the morning is open until your airport transfer. Walk Stone Town one more time, grab
last-minute spices, or relax. Your transfer to Zanzibar Airport is based on your flight time.
